Hiking the many trails in the White Mountains could easily fill a lifetime of vacations. Many of the trails are easily accessible, only minutes away from your campsite at Lost River Valley Campground. The world renowned Appalachian Trail system is only two minutes from our front entrance. Visit the Appalachian Mountain Club and the American Hiking Society websites in order to better plan your hiking trip and to maximize your enjoyment of the great hiking opportunities in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Be sure to check out some of the many beautiful waterfalls in the local area. Some of the best trout fishing spots in the White Mountains are located on and near Lost River Valley Campground. There are two rivers bordering the campground, one of which is stocked by the State Fish and Game Department, in addition to the many nearby lakes and rivers. You are sure to enjoy the bounty that these waters provide. Make an online visit to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department to help you plan your trip and to obtain information about licenses. |
